I was born in Mexico and crossed into the US with my family when I was very young. I experienced extreme hardships as a child, but in 2011 I made a decision to begin a process of recovery and self-discovery that changed my life forever. I overcame my past and I am now enjoying my new life of freedom with my husband.
Now I’m a blogger/life coach, fashion stylist and boutique owner. My passion is to empower women to feel beautiful, confident, and stylish, while clothed in dignity and freedom. My online boutique opened in 2015. I have the privilege of showing at women’s conferences as well as local craft shows. My line is meant to inspire and lift your spirit. I write mainly about faith, love, healing, and fashion.
How would you define beauty in your own words?
Free to be who you were truly created to be. That is beauty to me. When I see women soaring in their calling and filled with an unstoppable joy, this moves my heart.
What motivated you to start your own clothing line?
I have a passion to help women find their true identity. My desire is to help them find their voice – to empower them to be all that they were created to be. After being a store manager for high-end retail boutiques and not feeling fulfilled, I asked myself, ‘How can I make a change in this world with my skills and my passion?’ One day I was invited to speak at a women’s conference and the idea came to me, design a shirt that expresses what your voice wants to shout out. I love fashion, but I didn’t have a whole lot of money in my bank account in order to start a clothing line. So I designed two shirts, one said, “She who is Brave is Free”, and the other said, “Be bold, be brave, be you”. I started with a budget of $900, no credit cards. I had saved that money from a bonus I received at work. My intention wasn’t to start a clothing line; my purpose was to inspire and to express beauty, freedom and unconditional love through the product I sell
My mission is to encourage other women entrepreneurs. I would love for my boutique to be a shop filled with unique, inspiring finds from women all around the world. What I love about my work is that I get to give back. A percentage of all proceeds goes to various charities around the world (Justice Speaks, Joyce Meyers Ministries, Diamonds Gathering, Watoto Baby, Treasures Ministry… just to name a few.)
How do you hope to reform the image of beauty for women everywhere?
By expressing unconditional love through everything I do especially through the vulnerability of being my authentic self. I hope to inspire women to look within and find who they truly are. That is why I love to write; I use it as a platform to share the unconditional love I have received.
You have done work to help other women rise up and succeed in their lives. What motivates you to give back to other women in your world?
I have received tremendous healing in my life. I mean c’mon I am now free from depression, anxiety, and the baggage from my past! My hearts desire is for every woman to receive the same healing or even more healing than I received. While I’m working on my boutique, my side job is life coaching. I love life coaching because it allows me to help women find growth and stability in their life.
I believe every woman reading this should look in the mirror and say they are beautiful, because they are. God created all of us so uniquely beautiful and wonderful. Not one of us is alike. That’s what is so beautiful about life.
