Occupational Therapists address the complex psychological, physical and cognitive needs of survivors, imperative to achieving meaningful and sustainable independent living. Services provided include task analysis, coping strategies, goal setting, assessment & evaluation, role development, life skills training, as well as self-care, leisure and social participation.

Our comprehensive Career Development Academy gives participants the unique opportunity to attend life & professional development courses while simultaneously working one-on-one with occupational therapists to successfully transition into their desired career field. Topics covered in the Academy include: Professionalism, Budgeting, Investing, Office Technology, Communication, Change Management, Boundaries, Healthy Relationships, Six Week Writing Workshop, Self Defense, Developing Goals, Networking, Negotiation and more.

CAREER MENTORING

Professionals commit to sharing their career and life experience with young adults. This short term mentoring partnership exists to allow our participants and Alumnae to learn more about their desired career field while receiving practical career advice from a professional in the field.
